This is where you get to see trips on Google Earth (GE). Think of this as being similar to a VCR or MPEG player. You want to play through a trip and see it on GE.
The top slider is the speed of playback. The units are based on how fast information is updated on GE as compared to real time. So 1s is 1 second real time is 1 second playback time. So 0.1s means that 0.1 second in GE time takes 1 second real time, otherwise known as slow motion.
Thus 15s means that 15 seconds of GE time only takes 1 second of real time, or fast motion. 4m means that 4 minutes of GE time is shown in 1 second of real time, or very fast motion.
The bottom slider, labelled Position, is how far along the time are we. The start of time is the Start date/time at the very top left of the window. The end of time is the End date/time next to it. Adjusting both these Start and End date/times will give you better control over how you play back the trips.
Dragging the position slider will run the trip backwards and forwards through time.
The Play/Stop button plays or pauses the trip playback, at the speed selected in the top slider.
The Real Time button just sets the speed slider back to 1 second. So you can skip ahead 7 days and play next week's planned trip in real time.
The Now button will set the current playback time to the time it is now. So you can look backwards and forwards over a trip and then click Now to see where the person should be.
The All tracks shows all tracks below the selected trip (the lines between the track points). Normally only the track for the selected trip (and not the trips below it) is shown. When there are many trips you generally don't want to see all the track lines.
The All waypoints is similar to All tracks except it is for the waypoints.
